Hamilton Downtown makes for an authentic setting.
Hamilton - Tuesday, August 27, 2002 -3 Days is the first feature film from Hamilton based MOE-TION Picture Productions whose most current television series include Fitness Zone and Dining Out (which aired on CH television).
MOE-TION Picture Productions is a successful, versatile, award-winning production company. Presently, over 50 % of the professional team of producers, directors, videographers, writers, and technicians come from Hamilton. Add to that, over 70% of the characters reside in Hamilton.
3 Days starring Hamilton's own John Savidis, local businessman and 1998 US Open World Champion is also the executive producer of the feature film. John Savidis, playing himself, is a world-class kick boxer who gets caught up in a web of betrayal, deceit and swindled by those he trusts most. Co-written by local author Peter Tassi and MOE, President of MOE-TION Picture Productions. 3 Days is a one-man movie with over 100 other characters shot in three different formats from still and action photography, Super 8 mm and 35mm.
3 Days is a story of a man's race against the clock, overcoming deceit and betrayal, in his pursuit to save the life of his loved one's.
John's childhood flashbacks will be illustrated with Super 8 mm format complimented with narration. A Greek setting was needed and that is where Hamilton's downtown comes in. Hamilton's corner of King and Wellington is the right backdrop for John's childhood memories. The setting was discovered when MOE noticed a homeless person feeding the pigeons … "it was most captivating to see the pigeons feed off the lady's hand, it brought back memories of my own childhood" says MOE.
