A HAMILTON FILM EVENT FOR CANCER

For tickets click here.

One of the best things about our great city is the support that there is for several different causes. Hamilton is always there when the community calls on it. As witnessed by our City’s generous response to the annual Mother’s Day Telethon and the amount we raise for The McMaster Children’s Hospital, it is quite evident that we are a giving and caring community.
Today there is a call on our citizens once again for a new event that could hopefully become an annual occasion for our City. In conjunction with The Juravinski Cancer Foundation, a Film Production Company from Hamilton (Moe-tion Pictures), is set to release its debut feature film, “3 Days.” This film has been in the works for the last few years and with the help of over 350 Hamiltonians, it has finally been completed. The journey began for Moe-tion Pictures in March of 2002 and 4 years later, it is ready to be shown to the public.
“A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into this film”, says Director Moe, whose love and passion for this project is quite obvious after learning about his struggle and sacrifice to make his dream come true. Moe goes on to say, “This film is not about me, it’s about the creative energy of everyone involved in making a low budget independent film become a reality. We are ready to celebrate a great accomplishment of the collaboration of the many generous Hamiltonians who believed in the independent spirit of filmmaking.”
Moe’s generous nature seems to be infectious and he believes his dream can come to serve an even greater purpose. With the help of his small team of volunteers, Moe-tion Pictures has decided to screen its film at Hamilton place and has invited the community to join the celebration by offering free admission to this event (which will include musical entertainment and other attractions.) By teaming up with The Juravinski Cancer Foundation, attendees will instead be asked to give a charitable donation toward its fight to find a cure for this deadly disease.
lease join us for this very special event and worthy cause and continue to show how the great citizens of Hamilton support its community.
A FILM EVENT at HAMILTON PLACE on SATURDAY JULY 22, 2006 at 7 PM. ADMISSION IS FREE. RESERVE YOUR SEATS BY CALLING (905) 546-4085. DONATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THE JURAVINSKI CANCER CENTER.
